Fireplace Accent Wall Remodel

Project Description

This fireplace remodel in Roseville was designed to turn a plain living room wall into a true focal point. Darla wanted a custom accent wall that felt built in, clean, and timeless. The goal was to create a fireplace wall that worked for everyday living while also elevating the entire space.

This project included a full fireplace build out with white shaker cabinets, open shelving, integrated lighting, and a high performing electric fireplace. From design to installation, every detail was planned in advance so the remodel could move quickly and smoothly.

The Starting Point

Before the remodel, the living room wall was completely bare. Whenever family and friends gathered to watch TV, the space felt unfinished and lacked character. There was no fireplace, no storage, and no visual anchor for the room.

Darla knew the room had potential, but it needed structure and warmth. She wanted something custom that looked like it had always been part of the home.

The Vision

Darla reached out to Rossle Homes because she was tired of looking at a blank wall during movie nights and gatherings. She had a clear vision from the start. She wanted white cabinets, open shelving, integrated lighting, and very minimal decorative elements.

A realistic and high performing electric fireplace was also essential. We visited a fireplace showroom together and Darla chose the Redstone electric fireplace from Modern Flames based on our recommendation.

Tile selection was another key moment in the design process. After visiting a tile showroom, Darla fell in love with the Emser Milestone tile. It replaced her original idea of a stone veneer and helped create a cleaner and more refined look.

The Remodel Process

We began with detailed planning and clear communication so expectations were aligned from day one. Once materials were selected and 3D designs approved, our team moved quickly.

The remodel included framing the fireplace wall, installing the electric fireplace, building custom white shaker cabinets, and adding open shelving with integrated puck lighting. The tile surround was installed with careful attention to layout and finish.

Throughout the process, we stayed in constant communication. The entire fireplace remodel was completed within two weeks and finished right before Christmas.

Bringing It All Together

The finished fireplace wall completely transformed the living room. The cabinets provide clean and functional storage. The open shelving keeps the design light and balanced. The integrated lighting adds warmth and depth to the space.

The Redstone electric fireplace became the centerpiece of the room. The Emser Milestone tile surround tied everything together and delivered the polished look Darla was hoping for.

Most importantly, the project delivered on expectations. Clear communication and efficient execution made this fireplace remodel a smooth and successful experience.
