Water Damage Home Restoration in Roseville

Project Description

From disaster to move – in ready, this full home restoration project in Roseville was no easy task. This home in Roseville had a story no homeowner ever wants to live through. A washing machine line on the second floor failed and leaked water for over a week straight. By the time anyone discovered it, the damage had already traveled through the floors, the walls, and the ceilings, leaving the entire home in ruins. After the remediation team stripped the house to the studs, our team at Rossle Homes was called to bring it back to life.

The Starting Point

When we first stepped inside, the home was unrecognizable.
Drywall was gone.
Floors were bare.
Framing was exposed from top to bottom.

Every room carried the marks of the flood, and the homeowner needed a team who could rebuild the entire space with care and efficiency.

The client did not want a brand new custom design. They simply wanted their home back, with a few smart upgrades to make it feel better than it did before. Their requests were clear:

  1. LVP flooring instead of carpet
  2. Quartz countertops instead of granite
  3. A fresh paint color on the walls
  4. More storage solutions in the kitchen
  5. A clean, builder grade feel with just a touch more polish

The Vision

Even though the client declined design services, we still approached the project with the same level of structure and clarity we bring to every full home remodel. Our goal was to restore the home exactly as it was laid out before while giving it small improvements that would enhance durability, usability, and everyday comfort.

We planned a like for like rebuild with thoughtful upgrades:

  1. Water resistant LVP flooring throughout the affected living areas
  2. Updated kitchen cabinets with added storage
  3. Quartz counters for a clean, modern look
  4. Refreshed lighting and trim
  5. A full repaint to brighten the space
  6. New bathroom finishes that matched the original footprint while offering a cleaner look

The Remodel Process

With the home taken down to studs, our team rebuilt every surface from scratch. This included insulation, drywall, paint, flooring, cabinets, countertops, plumbing trim, electrical trim, and more. We coordinated every trade to move efficiently through the house and keep the timeline tight.

Because design services were not part of this project, material selections and deliveries were managed directly by the client. This led to some confusion and delays, which served as an important reminder of why we offer start to finish design and construction support. When clients lean on our full process, we are able to streamline selections, prevent mix ups, and keep schedules running smoothly. Even so, our team continued forward with clarity and patience to deliver a finished product that honored the original vision

Bringing It All Together

When the final coat of paint dried and the last fixture was installed, the home finally felt like a home again. Fresh floors, new cabinets, clean bathrooms, and a bright kitchen brought warmth back into the space. It had the same familiar layout the client loved, but with better materials and more durable finishes than they had before the flood.

In the end, the homeowner was grateful to have their house restored to a livable condition. After so much loss and uncertainty, they could finally walk into each room and feel at ease again.
